Malcolm Argent has been appointed deputy chairman of the UK Civil Aviation Authority for three years. One of his roles will be chairing the committee responsible for national air traffic services (NATS). Argent spent the last 13 years at BT, where he remains a non-executive director, and before that was with the Post Office for 28 years. David Lord has been appointed director and co-ordinator of Transport Security at the Department of Transport. He succeeds Harry Ditmas, who is due to retire in October.
