Bombardier has selected CAE Electronics to supply a suite of training devices for the Canadair Regional Jet Series 700. The devices will be installed at the Bombardier Training Centre near CAE's plant in Montreal, Canada.

The training suite for the 70-seat CRJ-700 will consist of a full flight simulator with CAE MaxVue visual system, a flight-training device, an aircraft systems trainer and computer-based training equipment. CAE will maintain the devices.

Bombardier's Montreal customer training centre already houses CAE simulators for the Canadian aircraft manufacturer's 50-seat CRJ-100/200 and Challenger and Global Express business jets. Last month, Bombardier announced plans to establish a simulator centre in Dallas,Texas, in association with Simuflite Training International. Initially, this will house training devices for the Learjet 31A, 45 and 60 business jets, for which Bombardier has yet to announce a supplier.
