CAE has increased its forecast commercial flight simulator sales from 17 to 20 for the fiscal year ending 31 March, after taking orders for 16 in the nine months to the end of 2005 – the number sold in its previous financial year.
The Canadian manufacturer closed the year with orders for three full-flight simulators – a Boeing 737-800 for India’s Jet AIrways and an Airbus A320 for an undisclosed third-party customer.
Jet has also ordered a 737-800 procedures trainer and a second CAE Tropos visual system to upgrade its 737-800 simulator, with the equipment to be delivered to its Mumbai training centre early in 2007.
The undisclosed third-party customer also ordered A320 and 737NG flight-training devices.
