Canada's CAE Electronics has received a contract from Delta Airlines for four flight simulators.

CAE will design and manufacture one Boeing 777-200 FFS and three 777-200 Flight Training Devices (FTD), to be installed at the airline's new state-of-the-art training centre in Atlanta, Georgia.

The order follows the recent Delta procurement of 13 FFSs and FTDs from CAE this year and "-represents a continuing strong relationship between the two companies", says a CAE official. The value of the contract has not been disclosed.

In 1997 CAE captured 79% of the world market for FFSs with 29 sales, and 100% of the FTD market with 21 sales.

Meanwhile, CAE is to sign a teaming agreement with Taiwan's Aeronautical System Research Department/Chung Shan Institute of Science and Technology on Friday at the show.
