CAE announced at the show that it has sold a Boeing 777-200 ER full flight simulator and Maxvue Plus visual system to Singapore Airlines (SIA).

The simulator will be designed to have full convertability to the Boeing 777-300 type - the first of its kind in the world. It will be installed at the Singapore Airlines Training Centre and fully operational by April 2001.

Another first with the SIA Boeing 777-200 simulator will be the incorporation of the first-ever simulation of a ground manoeuvring camera system (GCMS) using CAE's PC-based image generator technology.

The GMCS sits underneath the aircraft to assist the pilot by offering a wider field of view on the ground.

CAE provides simulation and control technologies for training and optimisation in the aerospace, defence and forestry sectors.
