Californian airline Air 21 has added its fifth ex-USAir Fokker F28-4000 since starting operations in December 1995 and says that it will operate eight by year-end and 15 by the end of 1997. The airline, which has a marketing agreement with Reno Air, says that the F28 does not require hushkitting as it is unaffected by US Stage 3 noise legislation as it weighs less than the 34,050kg maximum-take-off cut-off.
