CANADA is reviewing a C$627 million ($450 million) programme to install microwave-landing systems at some airports.
The decision comes in the wake of concerted lobbying by airlines to dump the programme in favour of global positioning. The Government has already spent C$40 million fitting Micronav microwave systems at several airports.
