New Chinese cargo airline Yangtze River Express is the latest operator to take advantage of the rapid growth in demand for freight carriage in the region. Established by fast-expanding Hainan Airlines a year ago, it has received its first dedicated cargo aircraft, a Boeing 737-300QC, and introduced it on domestic services. United Parcel Service last week signed an agreement with the airline for the carriage of express freight between Shanghai and four Chinese cities.
