All Nippon Airways has boosted its net profit by 68% for the first six months of the year, ending 30 September, partially on the back of increased cargo volume. The Japanese carrier reported an interim net profit of YEN10 billion ($85 million) off marginally higher revenue of ´468 billion. Cargo operating revenue was up 9.3% to YEN13.3 billion, while both domestic and international passenger operating results were down as the result of a weaker yen and a home economy undergoing recession.
