Startup Pan Am will acquire Florida-based Carnival Air Lines, subject to shareholder and regulatory approval. As part of the deal Carnival's main shareholder, Micky Arison, will inject $30 million into the merged carrier. Pan Am will also privately place $30 million in new convertible preferred stock to boost liquidity further.
