The French government is to spend up to £100 million ($176 million) over the next year to participate in development of the UK’s Future Aircraft Carrier (CVF) project, under the terms of a bilateral agreement signed last week. France hopes to use the Royal Navy’s CVF design as the basis for its second aircraft carrier.
