Cathay Pacific Airways has announced that Rupert Hogg will take over as chief operating officer of the carrier from March 2014.
Hogg’s appointment follows an earlier announcement that current COO Ivan Chu will take over as chief executive at the same time, while current chief executive John Slosar becomes Cathay’s chairman.
As part of his new appointment, Hogg will also assume a position on the airline’s board.
Hogg has held position of the airline’s director of sales and marketing since August 2010, prior to which he was the director of Cathay’s cargo business. He also has a long record of experience with other Swire Group companies.
