Henry Fan, managing director of Citic Pacific, has been appointed to the non-executive position of deputy chairman of Cathay Pacific Airways. Capt Ken Barley has been named director of flight operations, succeeding Capt Gerry Clemmow, who retired at the end of 1996. Barley also replaces Clemmow on the Cathay Pacific board of directors.
