Capt Ken Barley has been appointed director of flight operations at Cathay Pacific Airways, of Hong Kong with effect from 20 December, succeeding Capt Gerry Clem-mow, who is to retire. Barley will be replaced by Capt Mike Lowes, who is now Boeing 747-400 fleet manager. He in turn will be replaced by Capt Dick Marsh. Capt Rick Fry, now Airbus fleet manager, will become general manager of training, with effect from 20 August. He will be replaced by Capt Gerry Keogh. Capt Colin Pearce will take over as Boeing 777 fleet manager from Capt Graeme Thomson. Capt Greg Gibbins is to replace Capt Paul Robinson as Boeing 747 classic fleet manager, in the second quarter of 1997.
