CCAir has concluded an agreement with British Aerospace Asset Management Turboprops (AMT) to replace its BAe Jetstream 31s with upgraded Jetstream 32EPs.

The deal will also enable Charlotte, North Carolina-based US Airways Express to replace its ageing Shorts 360s. CCAir has signed an agreement with BAe AMT to take 20 ex-AMR Eagle 19-seat Jetstream 32EPs on lease. Deliveries have already begun and will conclude by March 1998. Fourteen Jetstream 32EPs will replace a similar number of Jetstream 31s which are on operating leases managed by BAe AMT. The other six Jetstream 32EPs will be used as interim replacements for the 360s.

The Jetstream 32EP has performance improvements, and CCAir believes that the new aircraft will generate an additional $3 million in revenues annually.
