Corsican carrier Compagnie Corse Mediterranee (CCM) will take two Airbus A320s in the next two weeks, switching its initial plans to add a pair of A319s.

The ex-Sabena A320s will be taken on five-year leases, says a CCM official, and will be operated on flights from Ajaccio and Bastia to Paris.

CCM operates its two existing A319s between Corsica and the French capital.

The official says the airline decided to make the switch on its order because strong demand requires the extra seat capacity offered by the A320s.
