Emergency Locator Transmitters (ELT) are mandatory on French aircraft, so last year French firm Ceis developed a new one which they are showing off here at Paris.
When the automatic sensor detects a crash it sends a signal received by a satellite dedicated system so the exact location of the aircraft is known and found.
You can see the Cospas-Sarsat emergency locator transmitter A06 in Hall 4, stand F5.
