Airworthiness Expensive proposed airworthiness directives (AD) that could have grounded Cessna 400-series twins have been withdrawn by the US Federal Aviation Administration under pressure from owner organisations. Inspection and installation of a Cessna wing-spar strap kit was estimated to cost $75,000. The FAA plans to reissue the ADs after alternative solutions have been developed.
