Cessna is consolidating its position as Brazil's largest single supplier of business aircraft with at least nine new Citations joining the fleet this year. The first three aircraft, a Citation XLS and two Citation Xs, have already arrived to boost the fleet to more than 140. Brazil also makes up almost half of Cessna's 315 plus Latin American-based Citation tally. It expects further growth in the first quarter of 2006 with new deliveries of the Sovereign, which is scheduled to gain Brazilian civil aviation authority certification early next year. Cessna has also booked an additional 26 firm orders from Brazilian customers for the Mustang very light jet.
