Gary Hay is named vice-chairman at light-aircraft manufacturer Cessna Aircraft of Wichita, Kansas. David Assard has become president and chief operating officer and Charles Johnson is promoted to executive vice-president for operations. Hay with Cessna for 29 years, and Assard, the former president of Textron Lycoming's turbine-engine operations, became executive vice-president, in January 1995. Johnson was formerly senior vice-president for operations.
