A CFM International CFM56-3 engine in service on a USAir Boeing 737 has set a new record for time-on-wing for a refurbished engine. The engine has logged 19,928h (11,988 cycles) since undergoing performance restoration in August 1989 at General Electric Engine Service's site at Strother Field, Kansas.
