The first Airbus A380-enabled gate at Singapore’s Changi airport is ready for use in anticipation of the aircraft’s first commercial flight with Singapore Airlines, now scheduled to take place by the end of next year. When the airport’s new Terminal 3 opens in 2008 there will be 19 gates at the airport which can serve A380 flights.
