Charles Taylor aviation asset management (CTAAM) Limited has transferred two Boeing 747-400 aircraft to Deucalion Aviation.
The aircraft will be converted into Special Freighter aircraft at the Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) Bedek conversion facility in Tel Aviv.
The aircraft, MSN 26562 and 27071, were manufactured in 1996 and 1995 respectively and are equipped with PW4056 engines.
Both were re‐delivered from Singapore Airlines in 2008 by CTAAM and placed under care and maintenance until a suitable customer was found by Skytech-AIC, the remarketing agent.
The 1995/96 aircraft were made flight ready, jurisdiction transferred for the change of ownership and ferried to IAI for conversion, after which they will be leased to US carrier World Airways. The deliveries are planned for December 2010 and February 2011.
CTAAM's MD Jeff Solomon comments: "These deliveries have been the final act in a long project. This assignment success has been down to the broad technical expertise and flexibility of the asset management team."
