Chautauqua Airlines has placed an order with Saab Aircraft Leasing for ten Saab 340As, plus options for two more, with which it plans to replace its 19-seat British Aerospace Jetstream 31 aircraft and expand its services as a US Airways Express carrier.

According to Saab Aircraft Leasing, the first 340A will be delivered in December, followed by a second aircraft delivery in January 2000.

After that, the balance of the order will be delivered at the rate of two per month through to May 2000.
