CHC Australia will operate a Bell 412 helicopter in an emergency medical services (EMS) role for the Western Australian government from next month. CHC was picked as preferred supplier for EMS in Western Australia earlier this year, but contract start was delayed as the government had not chosen a helicopter type.

The deal is the latest EMS win for CHC which has helicopters located throughout Australia in the EMS role. The Western Australian deal is for five years and covers a 200km (110nm) radius of state capital Perth.
