Cobham company Chelton Avionics has acquired Sierra Flight Systems, manufacturer of synthetic vision flight systems, for an undisclosed amount. Sierra's system is intended for general aviation aircraft and overlays head-up display type symbology over a real-time computer generated view of the outside world.
