The war of words between Megaplanes and Hairbrush took an unexpected turn at FIDAE. Out of the blue, Hairbrush's local sales exec told a packed press conference: "Yes, we definitely hope that in a couple of years LanChile will become a complete Boeing operator." Was this, wondered the puzzled hacks, a cunning ploy to lull Megaplanes into a false sense of security, or perhaps an unparalleled display of candour? Sadly, it seems the whole thing was someone mixing up their Ps and Qs, or was it As and Bs?
