China Eastern Airlines plans to start a daily Beijing-Kunming-Vientiane service, and a daily Kunming-Nanning-Vientiane service.

The carrier has applied to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to begin these services soon, says the CAAC.

Both routes will be operated using Boeing 737s, Boeing 767s or Bombardier CRJ aircraft, it adds.

The airline already operates a non-stop Kunming-Vientiane service four-times a week, according to Innovata.
