Cirrus Design plans to appoint a sales agent for China by the end of 2004. The manufacturer has hired FKS Consulting of France to assess the Chinese market and screen potential agents. Cirrus aims to find agents for other Asian countries after a dealer and service network is established in China, according to FKS consultant Peter Claeys. There are a handful of US and Australian-registered Cirrus aircraft in South-East Asia.
