China Eastern has completed its first domestic equity offering, raising a net US$86.8 million with a Shanghai exchange offering of 300 million shares reserved for Chinese investors. Meanwhile CNAC's proposed Hong Kong float has been shelved again following the currency crisis rocking southeast Asia.
