China's Xian Aircraft says that it has sold the first three Eaglet 100 light aircraft to Shantou Aviation Club in the south of the country. The Eaglet is described as a low-cost two-seat aircraft, selling for around 110,000 yuan ($13,000). The Xian-designed aircraft is 5.5m long, with a 9.8m span, 340kg maximum take-off weight, 60kt (110km/h) cruise speed and 2h 15min endurance. A take-off run of 20m (65ft) is quoted.
