China Southern Airlines has placed an order with Boeing for six 777 freighters.
In a filing to the Hong Kong stock exchange, China Southern said the aircraft will be delivered between 2013 and 2015.
The carrier already operates a fleet of five 777-200 freighters, according to Flightglobal's ACAS database.
China Southern said the aircraft acquisition is "consistent with the development strategy and the aircraft fleet structure plan of the group", and will enable it to expand its cargo division.
