Chinese space officials have confirmed the country's long-term aim to establish a permanently-manned space station. After possibly two more unmanned Shen Zhou test flights, the first manned spaceflight will take place, followed by "space labs", probably two Shen Zhou craft linked together to form a mini-space station, in which scientists will work.
