China has taken delivery of 10 Sukhoi Su-30MKK twin-seat multirole fighters built at the company's KnAAPO factory. This batch follows a similar number delivered in August. The aircraft are reportedly intended for the Chinese navy air arm.

Another Sukhoi manufacturer, IAPO, has delivered the last production series of 32 Su-27UBK twin-seat operational trainers.

In the past 10 years, fighter sales have accounted for over 50% of Russia's annual arms exports to China. Other exports to China include Sovremenny class destroyers armed with 3M-80 Moskit supersonic anti-ship missiles, and Warshavyanka- and Amur-class submarines.

"The potential of the basic Su-30MKK platform is expected to generate $3 billion in further sales," says Sukhoi.
