The Xiamen, China-based Lucas Aerospace/Taikoo Aircraft Engineering (TAECO)joint-venture company has become operational, following approval by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). The centre specialises in the repair and overhaul of aircraft engine and flight controls, and power-generation systems. TAECOis owned by Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering, Xiamen Aviation Industrial, CAAC, Cathay Pacific Airways, Japan Airlines and Singapore Airlines.
