Guided bombs were exhibited for the first time at this month's Airshow China in Zhuhai. The laser-guided, 500kg (1,100lb)-class LT-2 is a conventional design that resembles Russia's Bazalt KAB500L, which was delivered in numbers to the Chinese air force as part of the weapons packages for Sukhoi Su-27SK and Su-30MKK fighters.
Also displayed were the Louyang Optoelectro Technology Development Center LS-6 - a small winged air vehicle carrying what appears to be a standard unguided 500kg-class cluster bomb.
China Aerospace and Technology (CASC) unveiled two "precision guided bombs" - the 250kg-class FT-1 and larger, 500kg FT-3. CASC's stand showed the FT-1 suspended from a wing pylon of a combat aircraft believed to be the Xian Aircraft FBC-1 strike fighter.
