The Hungarian privatisation is in talks with Alitalia to buy back the Italian carrier's 30 per cent stake in Malev and will then start the search for a new strategic investor. The agency is awaiting government approval to start talks with the Italian carrier and hopes to conclude the buy-back by the end of the year. The carrier may also seek an IPO once the deal is done.
