Mexico’s Cintra is opening the bidding for its Aeromexico and Mexicana airline groups. After reviewing expressions of interest filed in August, Cintra narrowed the potential list to 10. These include Iberia and Air Europa’s Globalia, both from Spain, and one other undisclosed foreign bidder, plus seven Mexican suitors. Foreign candidates must bid with locals to comply with Mexico’s 25% foreign ownership cap.
