US investment company Crescent Capital has acquired a 58% share in general aviation aircraft manufacturer Cirrus Design. The $100 million cash injection paves the way for "continuing product development" and an increase in production of the SR20/22 piston single line, says Cirrus. Financing and production start-up problems forced Duluth, Minnesota-based Cirrus to restructure earlier this year, resulting in a 20% cut to its workforce.
