Clifford Development is on track to receive supplemental type certification (STC) for the Williams International FJ44-3A-powered Citation II and SII early next year.
The Citation II test aircraft is undergoing flight testing in Mojave, California where Clifford plans this month to complete 50 flights of 2.5h each. Federal Aviation Administration flight tests are anticipated for January 2008. Citation SII is on track for first engine runs this month and an abbreviated flight test programme in early 2008. "Based on the commonality between the Citation II and SII, we are achieving significant efficiencies with the parallel certification of two aircraft, says Kalamazoo, Michigan-based Clifford. Approval for the $2,150,000 Citation II and $2,275,000 SII conversions are earmarked for March and April respectively.
