CESSNA IS demonstrating its Citation X high-speed business jet in Latin America for the first time. The second production aircraft was displayed at the show and is to be demonstrated in Paraguay before being unveiled to prospective customers in Brazil.
Growing economies in Argentina, Brazil and Chile are boosting the market for business jets, Cessna says. Gulfstream is negotiating the first sale of a long-range Gulfstream V in the region. Bombardier reports increased Latin American interest in its Challenger and Global Express business jets.
Latin America already represents a business-jet market equal in size to that of Western Europe, according to Cessna.
