Israeli unmanned air system manufacturer Innocon has signed a contract to supply 50 MicroFalcon systems to an Asian country.
Michael Armon, Innocon's chief executive, said on 6 June that the contract was won because of the MicroFalcon's capabilities in close-range, low-altitude surveillance missions.
The MicroFalcon is a high performance, small UAS which is designed to be activated by one operator under the most demanding conditions, and in extreme weather. The 6kg (13lb) type operates at an altitude of 15,000ft (4,570m) and can stay airborne for 2h.
With boxed-type wings, the MicroFalcon can land upside down using a parachute, thereby increasing survivability and cutting down on the redeployment time cycle, according to Innocon.
