Israel's UVision says it is offering a number of expendable unmanned air systems to potential customers, but that "only part of these can be exposed".
"We identified a need for advanced yet expendable UAS, and the market is responding," says Yair Dubester, chief executive of the Israeli company. He declines to provide further details about ongoing negotiations to supply the equipment, which it is also offering under the product names Hero 400 and Hero 30.
A precision attack system that can be launched from a canister or rail launcher, the Blade Arrow/Hero 400 is equipped with a forward-looking infrared and electro-optical seeker, which enables its operator to search for, detect and attack high-value targets. It has a maximum take-off weight of 45kg (99lb), including an 8kg warhead, and an endurance of up to 7h.
