Commercial aviation is finally under civilian control in Brazil as the air force, which has overseen it for 75 years, hands over everything except air traffic control to a new autonomous civil aviation agency. Milton Zuanazzi, its head, says President Lula has told him to use his post to press for more integration of South American aviation.
