Boeing has issued a service bulletin to 737 "Classic" operators calling for wiring inspections that could affect more than 1,900 of the -300, 400 and -500 marques. This follows the discovery of heat damage to wiring in an Alaska Airlines aircraft. After checking 38 737-400s, Alaska found five requiring precautionary work.
