Indian start-up Club One is preparing to launch a business-jet charter operation and fractional ownership programme over the next few months with a fleet of up to eight aircraft.

Club One parent AR Airways has already taken delivery of two business jets, a used Cessna Citation S/II and a Citation Excel.

Managing director Manav Singh says these aircraft will be used to launch a charter operation later this month from New Delhi International airport.

Club plans to add a fractional ownership option as early as April, with several additional aircraft to be acquired from Cessna or Raytheon. Singh says he is negotiating with them to acquire "many more" superlight or larger cabin category jets.
