The UK's Cobham group is to buy the Power and Control unit of BAE Systems for £63.75 million ($91 million). The business, inherited from Marconi Electronic Systems, specialises in pressure fuel boost, jettison and refuelling pumps for commercial and military aircraft, and in backing pumps for aero-engines and helicopters. Cobham says the unit, to be renamed FR-HiTemp, will complement its Flight Refuelling division.
