Cobham has acquired the well-established French antenna designer STAREC, in a move which enhances the UK company's already dominant position in this sector.
Cobham is featuring two of its prime companies in Paris - FR Aviation and Chelton (Electrostatics).
FR Aviation, with its French subsidiary, Air Precision, is showcasing its full range of products and expertise, including the electrical sliprings for the main and tail rotor of the NH90 helicopter, as well as its new landing light designed for the same helicopter.
Chelton (Electrostatics) is displaying a selection of products from its associated companies.
Earlier this year Chelton was awarded the contract for the Longbow fire control radar radomes to be fitted to all UK Apache helicopters.
STAREC will showcase its expertise in antennae fir satellites and launch vehicles; aeronautical antennae for aircraft, helicopters, UAVs and missiles; tactical and infrastructure antannae in HF, VHF, UHF, SHF; and antenna telemetry subsystems in L, S, C, X and Ku bands.
