Acquisition

Northern Airborne Technology (NAT), a Canadian subsidiary of the UK's Cobham engineering group, has bought Seattle-based Pentar Communications and Pentar Systems for an undisclosed sum. Pentar produces in-flight passenger communications equipment and cockpit displays. Its design and support offices will remain in Seattle, but most of the production will be shifted to NAT's factory in Kelowna in British Columbia. NAT plans to combine Pentar's product range with its own airborne communications products.
