Newly-announced US Airways Express carrier Colgan Air has placed an order with Saab Aircraft Leasing for three Saab 340Bs plus options for three more, for an undisclosed amount.
Saab Aircraft Leasing says the aircraft are scheduled for delivery during the first quarter 2000. Additionally, says the lessor, Colgan's acquisition of the Saab 340Bs is intended to fulfil its future requirements as a US Airways Express carrier.
Saab Aircraft Leasing spokesperson Gena Laurent says the aircraft were formerly leased by Chautauqua and Mesaba.
Headquartered in Manassas, Virginia, Colgan provides service to several East Coast destinations.
